Position Summary Samsung Networks is a industry leader in Open RAN network deployments with commercial deployments in US, Asia and European markets. We are expanding our Service portfolio to include System Integration Services and as a result we will be creating a new team to lead these activities. As part of our expansion in Europe, Samsung Networks UK is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated System Integration Service Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of our System Integration Service package for a Tier 1 customer in Europe. You will manage and oversee the delivery of our System Integration obligations commencing in Q1 2025 and excel in the delivery of a complex program delivering on all our commitments and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction as a result. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who can demonstrate a proven track record in delivering complex IT and Core Telecommunications programs and has extensive experience in creating and maintaining highly satisfied customers. This role is based in Reading but will require travel to other project and customer locations in the UK The on-boarding timeline for this role is expected to be Q1 2025. This is a permanent position reporting to the Head of Service & System Integration in the Samsung Networks European Organisation. Role and Responsibilities Working closely with the wider Samsung System Integration Technical teams you will assume the following responsibilities:- Responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of Samsung System Integration scope ensuring full adherence to all contractual deliverables and ensuring the highest quality of delivery throughout Build and maintain excellent customer and vendor relationships from the outset throughout the customer organisation up to CxO level thereby leading to a highly engaged and satisfied customer that maximises the chances of further opportunities & growth You will work closely with our customer and their vendor partners to define the System Integration processes and associated timelines and you will own the Integration masterplan during the life cycle of the program You will work with key stakeholders to ensure all service milestones are achieved and communicated clearly Full accountability for successful service delivery including all design, integration and testing phases. Responsible for development and management of all process/procedures associated with the delivery functions Provide regular internal & customer reporting to all stakeholders including project progress, risks, issues & milestone adherence Ownership for the Program Governance including the Program Review meetings with the customer and internal project alignment meetings Ownership of the program RACI ensuring any updates are communicated both internally and with the customer Will be responsible to manage 3rd party vendors within the ORAN ecosystem and to ensure that each vendor delivers on their contractual scope What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Experience in a Senior Service role in the telecom/IT sector Proven track record in the delivery of complex large scale multi vendor System Integration projects. Previous experience of delivering multi vendor network virtualization projects such as Open RAN, virtualised RAN/Core. Proven customer and stakeholder managements skills An excellent understanding of the relationship between supplier and customer during program delivery, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role. Service Management certifications e.g. ITIL Service Management Exceptional communicator both internally and towards the customer to CxO level Excellent organisational skills and an ability to anticipate customer’s needs and act accordingly Excellent level of presentation, communication and planning skills. Ability to prepare & deliver complex program plans and associated updates to a high standard within tight timescales. Highly effective Service leader who recognises the power of a positive team environment in delivering results Fluent in spoken and written English Excellent report writing skill Skills and Qualifications What does success look like? You will have succeeded in developing excellent customer relations and be seen both internally and by our customer as the key go to contact to ensure Samsung System Integration delivery success You will have identified the key stakeholders for this System Integration business and built strong relationships from the outset You will have developed the Samsung System Integration processes in conjunction with customer and internal organisations and understand the key deliverables and dependencies throughout You will have structured the Project governance with the customer and developed the means to communicate timeline adherence, risks, issues and mitigation plans You will be recognised in Samsung as a real team player who works across the teams both internal and external to create both a successful service and a real mindset of working together to achieve results Exceptional ability to navigate large and complex organisations to build relationships and influencing capabilities Excellent communication and presentation skills The interview process: Following the screening of candidate CVs there will be a 2 stage recruitment process covering technical and suitability topics The technical interview will involve candidates demonstrating their in-depth knowledge and experience of delivering complex Telco and IT System Integration projects. You will be assessed on your planning, organisational capability and customer focus. Particular interest will be placed upon how you strucutred your previous projects and how risks and issues where managed. We will ask you to illustrate how your past roles and experience makes you a great fit for this role. The suitability interview will involve a wider review at the candidate’s suitability and availability to accept the role if offered and their motivation to join Samsung.
