International Engineer - Cruise Ships
Due to continued growth and success, my client is looking for a number of full-time (40 hours a week) Engineers to join them on a permanent basis.
75% of the time will be located on a Cruise ship (up to 3 weeks at a time). The remaining time will be at the office, warehouse, UK, and international shipping ports.
The role will involve carrying out installations, servicing, and maintenance of chemical products on Cruise ships.
Working alongside the onboarding project manager and engineering team to plan and implement within agreed timescales.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Developing project specifications and schedules
2. Conducting research to assess the feasibility, safety, and sustainability of projects
3. Overseeing maintenance requirements to ensure operational efficiency
4. Collaborating with other professionals within the organisation to achieve project goals
5. Working with other engineers to:
1. Install chemical products
2. Manage inventory
3. Perform maintenance
4. Prepare schedules of works
5. Report on installations
6. Conduct ongoing maintenance reporting
7. Act as a point of contact for service issues
8. Handle other ad hoc projects
Qualifications / Experience:
1. Qualified to City & Guilds 17th Edition Electrical installation or similar
2. CCLNG Qualification preferred
3. Plumbing experience is an advantage
4. Experience within the Commercial Laundry / Commercial Leisure industry
5. Back of house / Operational engineering support
6. Experience working with chemicals / detergents / janitorial product range
7. Experienced with tunnel wash, OPL dosing systems
8. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
9. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
11. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
