The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and storing cattle and sheep in accordance with animal welfare best practice guidelines. The Role: Unloading and transferring animals to holding pens prior to slaughter; Reading ear tags and allocating kill numbers; Checking permits and carrying out FCI and transport audits; Ensuring permits and information is put on to the system correctly; Assist with the daily cleaning schedule in Lairage; Maintaining Health, Safety and Hygiene Standards in accordance with company rules and regulations. The Person: Possess GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent); Previous experience in cattle and sheep handling is essential; Knowledge of animal welfare best practice; Must have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst also working as part of a team; IT Skills essential
