We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new block of apartments in Derby, DE22. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a project from start to finish, ensuring the smooth execution of tasks on site while adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Management: Oversee all site activities, managing the day-to-day operations and ensuring the project progresses according to schedule and within budget.
Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers to maintain a productive and safe working environment.
Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections to minimise risks and promote safe working practices.
Material Procurement: Monitor the procurement, storage, and use of materials, ensuring correct inventory management and the timely delivery of resources.
Quality Control: Ensure the project is built to the highest quality standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues immediately.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders, providing updates on progress, challenges, and timelines.Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager, ideally on residential projects.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
Solid knowledge of material procurement and inventory management.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card are required.
