This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher committed to inclusive education. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting learners with cognition and learning needs within a mainstream setting and hold a level 7 qualification relating to SEND. They also need to demonstrate the ability to innovate and problem-solve, as well as to develop effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders (schools, parents/carers, children and young people, other professionals etc.). Your next role The successful candidate will work closely with their job share colleague to provide cognition and learning advice, support and training to schools across the Borough. Swindon is a small unitary authority that is easily accessible and is an exciting and innovative place to work. The Advisory Teachers for Cognition and Learning operate within the Education and Inclusion Service within Children’s Services. The office base is at Wat Tyler House but advisory teachers work mainly in schools and from home. We are a well-respected, valued service with good relationships with schools and other partners. In addition to providing advice to support pupils, we offer a range of cognition and learning training options for schools.
