JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Manager (Smoke Control System) with a strong technical background in smoke control solutions to drive sales within the Midlands and North of England (up to Harrogate).
* The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of selling directly to consultants and end users, with expertise in securing new business for smoke control system installations as well as selling service and maintenance contracts.
KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THE ROLE:
* Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive business growth and secure new smoke control system installation projects and service/maintenance contracts.
* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants and end users, providing expert guidance on smoke ventilation solutions.
* Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of smoke control systems to support clients and tailor solutions to their specific needs.
* Market Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s presence across the Midlands and North of England.
* Proposal and Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for smoke control system installation and service/maintenance contracts, ensuring long-term partnerships and profitability.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
* Reporting: Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic plans to senior management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Sales Manager in the smoke control industry, specifically in selling to consultants and end users.
* Strong knowledge of smoke ventilation systems, compliance standards, and fire safety regulations.
* Demonstrated ability to win and manage large-scale installation projects and service/maintenance contracts.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Technical background with the ability to understand and discuss smoke control system designs and requirements.
* Proficient in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and travel within the Midlands and North of England as needed.
