Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Womenswear Designer to join our in-house "Own Brand" Design team at Footasylum's Head Office in Rochdale.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2/3 years' previous experience working within a Highstreet fashion role. This should be supported with a relevant portfolio.
This role gives a great opportunity to the right candidate to work on Footasylum's "own brands" such as Zavetti Canada, Alessandro Zavetti and many more, with excellent progression opportunities.

Responsibilities
1. Play a leading role alongside other Senior stakeholders in creating the short-, medium- and long-term design strategy for own brands.
2. Identify and lead seasonal trend overviews.
3. Lead the seasonal design direction for your brand(s) ensuring evolution whilst the brands DNA is maintained.
4. Responsible for the end-to-end design process making sure best in class product design is achieved according to market needs and required timelines.
5. Lead and support the design team in the process to meet all deadlines and create CAD designs within specified timeframes, demonstrating advanced understanding of clear, concise technical CAD design specifications and fabric knowledge.
6. Challenge the development team to ensure the manufacture of own brand products are to the highest standard. Attend fit meetings, and lead feedback on samples/fabrics/lab dips approvals.
7. Push brand innovation by exploring new constructions and fabric developments to move all own brands forward.
8. Be a leading communicator with global suppliers, including travel for brand development and production trips.
9. Build and maintain strong partnerships with all internal teams (eg Development, Sourcing, Buying etc).
10. Lead and support the established and junior members of the design team ensuring a culture of continuous improvement and development through clear direction and feedback, identifying individual training needs, and encouraging collaborative ways of working.
11. Responsible for recruiting and onboarding new team members.
