Automation Technician
Working within a high-volume precision mechanical assembly engineering environment. Responsible for a range of traditional and modern tools and equipment including presses, assembly, and automation.
Main Responsibilities
1. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within automated systems, identifying faults quickly and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
2. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform regular preventive maintenance on a variety of automated assembly cells to ensure maximum efficiency of equipment.
3. Fault-Finding: Identify root causes of technical issues within the automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
4. Optimisation and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and optimise automation processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and enhance product quality.
5. Collaboration with Automation Integrators: Work closely with automation integrators on the installation, testing, and upgrading of automated systems, ensuring compliance with standards and alignment with production goals.
6. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, promoting a safe work environment while handling complex automation systems.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting activities.
