Quantity Surveyor (M&E / Renewables)
Location: Glasgow

Are you a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor from a M&E background? Are you seeking an opportunity to join an established, yet growing company that offers excellent progression opportunities, with the potential to step up into a directorship position in the future?
This is a dynamic company with experience in all aspects of the Plumbing, Heating and Renewables industries. The business has been growing, developing, and changing year on year since they began in 2015. Due to an internal restructure, they're now one of three businesses working under a wider group. Ahead of celebrating their 10th year in business next year and to meet company needs, they're now seeking an individual who holds previous experience within a Quantity Surveying position and is keen to support their mission in scaling up.
In this role, the individual will be responsible for setting up and introducing a commercial department within the business. Alongside this, you will be preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects as well as evaluating and managing variations in project scope, cost and schedules. This company encourages internal progression which will naturally evolve as the business grows, with the potential for the right candidate to step up into a directorship position in the future.
The Role:
1. Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects and collaborate with project managers and engineers to offer cost-effective solutions.
2. Set up and introduce a commercial department within the business to support the growth plans.
3. Support in working towards chartership.
4. 40hr working week - flexible / hybrid working available.
The Person:
1. Experience working as an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor from an MEP, Heating, Renewables or relevant Mechanical background.
2. Educated to at least HNC/HND (preferably Degree) level within a relevant discipline - i.e. Quantity Surveying / Estimating.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations.
4. Driven, ambitious and motivated by development opportunities.
5. Full UK driving licence.
