Position: Study Support Assistant - LLDD / Personal Care Assistant
Type: Temporary Role
Rate: £75 - £80 per day
Location: Barnet and Southgate College Southgate Campus
Start Date: August
Are you a Learning Support Assistant or Study Support Assistant looking for a new role to start immediately? Morgan Hunt is working with Barnet and Southgate College to recruit for Learning Support Assistant or Study Support Assistant. Barnet and Southgate College are a dynamic and innovative institution committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting learners with a range of needs
2. Providing personal care (wheelchair assistance, feeding, personal care, etc.)
3. Working with students with ASD, complex needs, and SEMH
4. Full and part-time availability
Requirements:
5. Commitment to supporting learners and flexibility in approach
6. Excellent communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm
7. Previous experience with SEND is required
8. Experience with Makaton, PECs, and sensory approaches (advantageous but not essential)
9. Willingness to provide personal care to vulnerable students
10. Previous SEND and Personal Care Assistance experience or experience as a support worker/care worker
Other Essential Requirements:
11. Enhanced DBS Disclosure
12. Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
13. Professional reference checks
14. CV covering the last 10 years of employment history
15. Legal right to work in the UK
