We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and motivated RMN who would like the opportunity to work within our Older Adult Community Mental Health Team with patients that have functional and organic mental health needs.
The core working hours for our team is Monday to Friday (9pm -5pm) and this specific post is for 37.5 hours per week, however there is scope for flexible working.
You will be part of an integrated team consisting of Community Mental Health Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Junior Medics, a Clinical Psychologist, Support Workers, a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner, and administration staff. You will also be supported by the Team Manager who offers a robust supervision and appraisal process.

We regularly participate in team building exercises including our annual cooking competitions (yes, they are mandatory) and we have always received a lot of positive feedback from students.

Main duties of the job
Our OAMH service has developed a range of therapeutic interventions which has a Solution Focused approach at the core of its offer, and we receive regular team supervision involving Reflective practice, Complex case discussions and Solution Focused therapy supervision. We are dedicated to upskilling as a team and regularly focus on continued professional development.
You will manage a caseload of patients with functional and organic mental health conditions from assessment to discharge and engage in therapeutic interventions with them.
You will develop the skills to undertake full Psychosocial assessments, individual care plans and risk assessments with patients and their carers.
Attend MDT meetings on a weekly basis to discuss allocations, complex cases and there is also a lot of opportunity for joint working.
Be involved in our Well-being clinic, which is comprised of depot administration, medication reviews and post-diagnostic support.
Being involved in Solution focused supervision sessions, Reflective practice, Complex Case discussions and additional training opportunities.
To be provided with the opportunity to become involved in CST (Cognitive Stimulation Therapy) groups, Carers groups and anxiety management group.
The Older Adult Mental Health service is comprised of several specialist teams, and you will have the opportunity to work with our Inpatient wards and Hospital at Home Team to meet the needs of more acutely unwell patients.
