The role:
This is an exciting opportunity for the position of Assistant Operations & Hospitality Manager, and we are looking for an enthusiastic professional who is looking to develop their career within the entertainment industry.
We are looking for a confident individual, who is extremely well organised, has demonstrable commercial acumen, strong attention to detail and great communication skills.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in focusing on the daily delivery of events at Fairfield Halls and be enthusiastic about delivering excellence in events, conference and private hire and have experience in achieving and leading a team to deliver this along with experience in catering hospitality.
Working closely with the Operations Manager for Hospitality, the successful candidate will manage and deliver catering aspects for events as well as leading the day-to-day operations of the Cube Café.
You will:
* Ensure the seamless setup and execution of various events, ranging from meetings and conferences to concerts, performances, exhibitions and private parties.
* Work with Operations Manager – Hospitality to forward plan the logistics for events, including ordering stock, linen, staffing as well as ensuring spaces are correctly furnished as per client requests.
* Work with other departments to ensure that event details are correct and to foresee operational issues that may arise.
* Serve as a welcoming representative of BH Live and our venue, providing a high level of service, ensuring that all internal and external customer enquiries and complaints are dealt with and resolved.
* Be a daytime/evening/night Duty Manager taking responsibility for the opening and closing of the venue and its security, completing building checks as required.
To be successful you will need:
* Experience of motivating and managing staff.
* Previous experience in a similar role with catering experience.
* Good understanding of the industry, area of business, customer care and customer/client relationship development.
* Ability to develop productive working relationships with customers, industry colleagues and service partners.
* Good knowledge of EPOS till system to include stock usage, reports & reporting.
* Must be available to meet the needs of BH Live and Fairfield Halls in relation to early morning or late-night weekday, weekend, and bank holiday working.
