POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for strategically sourcing, procuring, and managing the purchase of goods and services. Focusing on optimizing cost, quality, and delivery timelines by negotiating contracts with suppliers and building strong. Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned as needed) - Deliver budgeted cost reduction actions - Stabilising supply chain though dual sourcing, buffer stock agreements and identifying alternative solutions. - Work with vendors to review forecast to anticipate future needs and coordinate long term needs. - Prepare and issue RFQ requests, and compare MOQ, payment terms, freight conditions prices to reduce production costs. - Challenge vendors quotes and drive cost down; report cost reductions. - Create a strategy using multiple negotiation tactics to drive competition. - Manage vendor warranty claims. - Evaluate current performances and set improvement plans if required. - Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers, conducting market research to find the most competitive options for required goods and services. - Assist MLM and QAM with supplier audits. - Work closely with engineering team for NPI. - Maintain clear and efficient communication with internal and external. - Maintain currency with respect to technical and supervisory skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed. - Other duties as designated by department manager.
