The role Reporting into the Network Manager the Network Analyst position is key in ensuring the smooth functioning of Newcastle University’s computer network for academics, students and professional services users. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and support of network services across the University estate. Newcastle University is also at the start of the multimillion-pound investment to replace all wired and wireless network infrastructure across all of it sites. This role will be involved in both the support of the existing network and the transition into operations of a new state of the art network. The role will involve: Supporting, troubleshooting, and configuring all aspects of Newcastle University’s networks services Delivering against agreed priorities and SLAs Liaising with 3rd party suppliers Working closely with other NUIT departments such as Cyber Security, Platform & Services and Datacentre Operations to ensure smooth delivery of services which depend on the network Extensive formal and informal training opportunities. About you We seek an IT professional with a broad understanding of network technologies.
