About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, potentially specializing in areas such as product design, engineering, or food technology based on your expertise. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage students to explore design briefs, experiment with materials, and utilize modern manufacturing techniques, with a focus on sustainable and ethical design practices. Assess student progress through project work, design portfolios, and practical assessments, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to extracurricular design clubs and competitions, potentially incorporating projects with a social or ethical dimension. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology or a related field. A strong understanding of design principles, manufacturing processes, and current technologies relevant to your specialism. Proficiency in relevant software and experience with workshop equipment. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A commitment to the school's Catholic ethos and values, with an awareness of the ethical implications of design and technology.
