To provide a flexible support service to an young adult female with cerebral palsy living in her own home. Acting in an enabling capacity, the role will be to help organise appointments and correspondence; and motivate and support the client in accessing leisure, health and social services, as part of an individual programmed plan. You will be providing 2:1 care with other members of the team. Assisting with personal care needs, the safe administration of medication including PEG feeding, completing daily records and experience in moving and handling required, the client has a ceiling track hoist is also required. Hours of work 34 hours per week Monday 2pm 9pm Wednesday 2pm 9pm Saturday 8am 6pm Sunday 8am 6pm (extra hours may be needed to cover holidays/sickness) Rate of pay Weekdays £15.50 per hour Weekends £18.50 per hour Driver essential due to accessing leisure and activities, use of vehicle is provided by the client. Previous care experience is essential and it is desirable to have worked in peoples own homes. You must also have experience of working with people with complex needs and behaviors that may challenge.
