We are currently recruiting for a Highway Technician to work primarily as a member of a team undertaking walked and driven Highway Safety Inspections within a section involved in routine and asset maintenance and the management and administration of the adopted highway network.
The position will support the Routine Highways Maintenance Engineer deliver, on time and to budget, the annual programmes of Highway Safety Inspections and Highway Maintenance Programmed Works.
The successful person will be expected to identify potential safety defects within the highway and instigate the appropriate remedial action, assist with the upkeep of Highway Inspection records, plans and documentation and assist with the identification of the Highways Maintenance Programmed Works.
We are looking for a hardworking and conscientious person to work in a busy environment, providing an essential and valuable service to our customers, who can build effective relationships with customers and relevant partners.
The ideal candidate will be well-organised, flexible, and have good communication skills.
