Are you an experienced trial manager with an interest in young people’s digital and social media habits? Are you excited about leveraging novel measures and interventions to tackle one of the most pervasive and poorly understood exposures facing young people today? This is your opportunity to join the Bradford Centre for Health Data Science, the leading centre for applied data science and public health research in the north of England.
We are seeking a dynamic trial manager for a medium-term role within the centre. You will deliver a social media abstinence trial using Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA). You will be responsible for helping develop the trial protocol, submitting ethical approvals where necessary, recruitment and engagement of young people, adapting novel technologies for intervention (e.g., app restrictors) and measurement (e.g., EMA delivery platform), and ensuring the trial runs on schedule and to the protocol specification.
You will develop and contribute towards a research agenda examining the role digital and social media plays in adolescent mental health. This will involve working with the broader research team and assisting with team meetings, papers, and conferences. This is a fantastic opportunity for any trial manager looking to develop their career working on impactful research using novel methodologies. We look forward to hearing from you.
Our People Charter outlines the behaviours we can expect from one another and what you can expect from Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust:
1. We value people
2. We are one team
3. We care
We’re keen to meet people who share these values and are passionate about delivering the highest quality of care to our patients.
The post holder will work under the management, supervision, and mentorship of Consultant in Public Health, Principal Statistician, or Principal Research Fellow at the Bradford Centre for Health Data Science, to ensure successful delivery of the trial. This will include acting as study manager for the co-production, design, implementation, data collection, and evaluation.
See job description and person specification for more details.
