Silk Ward provides specialist inpatient treatment and assessment for people with Dementia aged 18-65. The ideal candidate will support the team to deliver person centred care in collaboration with service users, carers and families, external partners and agencies, such as End of Life Partnership. To have overall operational management and clinical responsibility for the delivery of safe, compassionate care within the unit, in accordance with Trust policy and procedures. Main duties of the job Provide line management and clinical leadership to the nursing and MDT, comprising of Consultant, Advanced Clinical Lead, AHP, SALT and Physio, to ensure person centred care is delivered and meets standards for Quality and Safety in partnership with service users and carers. To have overall management and clinical responsibility for the delivery of safe, compassionate care within the unit, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures. To lead a team of staff in the delivery of high-quality evidence-based practice, ensuring that regular supervision and appraisal takes place. To ensure systems are in place to manage administrative and operational resources in a cost-effective manner, evaluating the standard of service delivered. To co-ordinate multidisciplinary working, maintaining excellent communication and working relationships with all team members, and the wider unit to ensure effective interface and continuity of care between disciplines and services.
