We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a House Keeping Attendant at the Telegraph Hotel, Coventry.
Who are we:
Located in the historic former premises of the Coventry Evening Telegraph, an iconic building at the very heart of the city centre. The hotel evokes the famed mid-century 1950s architecture of Coventry and is a reflection of its former life as a thriving newspaper and printer works. It features 88 air-conditioned bedrooms, several of which are duplex penthouse suites, as well as a stylish restaurant in a glazed courtyard, meeting, event and conference space, alongside a rooftop bar overlooking Belgrade Square.
The ideal candidate:
The ideal candidate would possess outstanding communication skills. Direct experience with hotel businesses is not required; however, some knowledge of the industry would be beneficial, as would experience of working in a customer experience focused role. The ideal candidate would be both resourceful, efficient, and possess an outstanding eye for detail.
Duties will include:
1. All cleaning activities are carried out with minimum inconvenience to the hotel guests.
2. Ensure all cleaning in the designated areas is carried out to the Company Standards.
3. Ensure all standard checklists are used as prescribed.
4. To be able to deal with any reasonable requests from guests in a professional manner.
5. Company procedure for security of guest possessions is followed at all times.
6. Guest property found/lost procedure is adhered to.
7. All maintenance issues reported immediately following the correct procedure.
8. Housekeeping supplies/stocks are rotated using the ‘first in, first out’ system, thereby reducing wastage.
9. Cleaning chemicals are used as directed, to achieve desired results and reduce wastage.
10. Understand the procedure for rejecting linen.
11. When undertaking bedroom upgrades or displaying promotional material in bedrooms, the company specification must be adhered to.
