Environmental Health Officer - Private Sector Housing Team
Location: Reading (Flexible Work Available)
Pay: £45 per hour – Negotiable

What You'll Do:
As part of our Private Sector Housing Team, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring safe and well-maintained housing across Reading.
You will:
* Conduct inspections and investigations, primarily focused on HMOs (houses in multiple occupation).
* Address housing complaints, advising landlords and tenants on legal obligations.
* Work on innovative solutions to improve housing, including tall building fire safety and licensing consultations.
* Collaborate with partners to improve property conditions.
This role offers flexibility, with time spent both in our Civic Offices and on-site inspections, plus the ability to work from home when suitable.
Requirements:
* EHRB Registration (Environmental Health Practitioners).
* Knowledge of the Private Rented Sector and/or a regulatory environment.
* Strong communication skills for working with landlords, tenants, and various partners.
* A valid driving licence and vehicle for site inspections.
