Peaple Talent have partnered with a market leading renewable energy organisation who are currently recruiting for a New Business Development Manager who has a background selling technical energy solutions or asset sales, who understand the key customer drivers and funding options for on-site generation, energy efficiency and de-carbonisation projects across a variety of industry sectors. You will be contributing sales growth to one of the UK’s most innovative energy consultants, whilst helping customers throughout the UK reduce their energy costs and support their transition to a carbon net zero future.
Our client offers a wide range of bespoke energy solutions, along with a high standard of service, we want you to introduce these services to potential new customers. As a business development manager you will be expected to build your own pipeline of potential new customers with a set target of conversions. Your prospecting efforts will be supported by our business generation department who will help fill your diary with new opportunities. You will also benefit from in-bound enquiries generated from our digital marketing department.

Key Responsibilities:
Pipeline Development
* Qualify prospects and generate new opportunities
* Making best use of the tools and contact lists in our CRM
* Maximising opportunities for ROI on our marketing activity
Pipeline Management
* Planning, preparing and attending client meetings
* Maintain strategic account development plans for the top 10% of prospects
* Crafting presentation decks
* Communicating new product developments to prospective clients
* Preparing formal proposals
* Negotiating and landing deals
* Networking and developing relationships with potential partners and introducers
Reporting
* Ensure each opportunity is reported on timely and accurately
* Update pipeline report
* Provide monthly sales report
* Play an active role in ensuring targets and KPI’s are achieved, by developing a personal portfolio of high value customers
* Highlight opportunities for business development and research
* Engage with the wider organisational teams to identify opportunities for business growth
* Feedback to the business customer requirements to aid with the development of new products/services
Stakeholder Relationships:
* Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing
* Interact with other managers and members of the delivery team to help identify customer acquisition targets
* Work closely with the Business Generation team to ensure meetings are booked to your requirements
* Work with the marketing department to assist with campaign development and rollout
