Job summary
We are looking for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical leadership, treatment and therapy with a clear focus on clinical risk and its management. The successful candidate will need to influence, lead and motivate staff at all levels within the clinical environment to deliver high quality care according to Trust values, to provide expertise, support and advice regarding all aspects of clinical care including implementing evidence based best practice.
Working with people with an eating disorder can be both challenging and rewarding and we are looking for a Advanced Nurse Practitioner who will support the Clinical Team Manager and staff to deliver safe and high-quality care for this complex patient group.
This is an exciting time for our Adult Eating Disorder Service, we have an established FREED Pathway (this post would incorporate the FREED Champion Role) and we are also participating in regional pilot projects (Virtual Intensive Treatment and Intensive Clinical Support) whilst also developing our SEED Pathway.
Main duties of the job
This role is offered on a permanent basis with the potential for flexibility in working hours and some remote working with the base being either Bury St Edmunds or Ipswich but with the expectation that you will work across both areas.
The post holder will be an experienced Eating Disorder practitioner who, acting within their own professional boundaries, will provide care for adult service users with eating disorders. Supporting the Clinical Team Manager and leadership team, the post holder will actively participate in the day to day clinical and operational management of the Adult Eating Disorders Team within the locality, be part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the development of the services they support. They will demonstrate safe clinical decision-making, and sound clinical expertise and knowledge of eating disorders and their treatments. The post holder will support the leadership team to meet the needs of the service users and contribute to service improvements and supervision of other members of the team.
