MISSION
Responsible for undertaking corrective and preventative fabrication, welding, and fitting repairs across a busy manufacturing site. The initial work is to accelerate remediation work for aging assets. For the right candidate who proves reliable, skilled, dedicated, and achieves the results we need, the jobs will be very rewarding.
FUNCTIONS
1. Undertake project work, fabrication, repairs, and upgrades for Tolsa.
2. Assist Manager(s) with projects, improvements & cost reduction schemes in conjunction with Plant Managers' requirements.
3. Assist Manager(s) achieve safe systems of work & safe working practice, work within:
* Permit to Work, formation of dynamic risk assessment & work method, LOTO
* Processes, MOC processes
1. Assist Manager(s) in modifications to assure efficiency of assets.
2. Assist Manager(s) in implementing corrective & preventative actions across the site.
3. Back flush manufacturing roles as required by the business to meet demands (depending on task and capability).
4. Undertake overtime for shift Engineer cover for holiday/sickness to ensure the business can keep assets running against Customer demand.
5. Undertake any other activity the business deems appropriate to ensure the effective running & maintenance of the Plant.
6. The Engineer will be highly motivated and self-driven, with strong troubleshooting skills and technical ability.
7. Support the Operational Teams / colleagues in resolving the technical issues on the machine.
8. Work towards a zero-breakdown & zero-stop mentality, reducing the maintenance costs including reducing working capital for spare parts.
9. Take ownership of the working area; monitor key maintenance KPIs such as breakdowns & have a strong service-department mindset towards the Operations.
10. Perform high-quality root-cause analysis for technical and process problems.
11. Assist with engineering repairs and breakdowns to minimize machine downtime for the production areas.
12. Diagnose defects, effect repair and evaluate results.
13. Assist PPM and TPM maintenance.
14. Support Operations in shutdowns with installation and commissioning of equipment and machinery.
15. Reallocation of machinery and installations.
16. Preventative and reactive maintenance.
17. Play an active part in continuous improvement.
Experience
* Mechanical knowledge and maintenance experience.
* Welding skills and electrical experience.
* Fitter experience.
* Experience with fabrication.
* Leadership skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.

Pay: £32,170.00-£34,183.00 per year
