Whitefield Health Care is a busy GP practice with a practice size of 4000 patients who is seeking one additional member of staff to work within the surgery as a care navigator/receptionist.
Job Summary
THE POST IS FOR 16 HOURS per week. PRACTICE working hours are between Monday and Tuesday.
You must be able to deal objectively and professionally in a calm and approachable manner when liaising with patients, staff, healthcare professionals, and outside agencies. Prioritising a busy workload, being a good team player, and possessing the ability to deal with a wide range of clerical and administrative duties in a busy environment is also required. Previous experience of working in General Practice or NHS setting or similar job setting would be preferable, but full training and support would be offered to the successful applicant. Applicants must be flexible and able to cover for any holidays and sickness.
Although the position is mainly at Whitefield Health Care, within Yarnspinners, there may be an occasion where you work across at our linked practice in Accrington, and transport would be organised.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Dealing with patients face to face
2. Answering telephone calls
3. Booking appointments
4. Care navigation
5. Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail and emails
6. Handling patient queries, registrations, and deductions on Emis system
7. Readcoding and data inputting
8. Scanning documents
9. Managing referrals and other general administrative duties
10. Adhering to the confidentiality policy

Qualifications
Essential
1. GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent or experience in a similar role
Desirable
1. Previous administrative or customer care experience
