Role Description:
The HSSEQ Systems Manager role is one of control and overall coordination of the HSSEQ management system application throughout Venterra Group and its associated companies.
Responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of a Group-wide integrated HSSEQ management system in accordance with relevant legislation / regulations, ISO standards and contractual requirements, interacting and working closely with all relevant stakeholders across our business areas.
The HSSEQ Systems Manager will measure and report progress, compliance, and be highly effective at driving forward the application of the management system.
Key responsibilities:
* Working in collaboration with the Group Director of HSSEQ and key stakeholders across the entire Venterra Group:
* Taking the leading role in the project management and integration of Venterra Group’s HSSEQ ISO management systems in accordance with all relevant stakeholder requirements.
* Developing realistic system integration implementation plans that build upon the existing management system compliance within Group companies.
* To ensure that applicable HSE legislation and best practice is captured and applied within the system to ensure organisational compliance throughout all operational jurisdictions.
* Liaison with all key stakeholders / interested parties (internal and external) who have a connection with the HSSEQ Management System.
* To develop, implement, review and continually improve the HSSEQ Management System.
* To work in collaboration with external certification bodies to integrate, manage and oversee the Group ISO accreditation process whilst maintaining continued compliance.
* To oversee and manage the Group HSSEQ audit programme, ensuring coverage of all jurisdictions and operational areas.
* Conduct verification audits to monitor ongoing compliance across the scope of the HSSEQ management system, providing clear and concise audit reports.
* To monitor and oversee that HSSEQ actions or non-conformities relating to management system compliance are suitably registered and closed out in a timely manner.
* Monitoring and reporting on HSSEQ management system performance.
* To monitor and report on areas of non-compliance to legislation or adherence to the HSSEQ Management System, ensuring such matters of urgency are brought to the attention of senior management.
* To provide expert advice on HSSEQ matters to the wider functional team.
* To provide guidance and support to functional team members and employees within Group companies on matters of HSSEQ.
* To support in the achievement of defined HSSEQ targets and objectives.
* To coordinate alignment and achievement of Management Review processes within the business.
* To provide input into the HSSEQ functional annual budget planning process.
* The role will deputise for the Group HSSEQ Director (as required).
* To continually promote and support improvements to HSSEQ management system and overall culture and values of the business.
Key Skills/Experience/Competencies:
* Extensive experience in discipline related role
* Relevant industry experience
* Advanced experience and understanding of ISO Management Systems, (specifically ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001) HSE Legislation / Regulations, Risk Management Application and Auditing
* IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
* Strong procedural development, presentation and reporting skills
* Willingness to travel (including internationally) to Group company locations as necessary.
* Fluent in English (both written and oral).
* Enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication skills, works well in teams, and also self-motivated.
* Able to adapt quickly to a fast-moving environment.
Education / Qualifications:
* Health and Safety Diploma (NVQ Level 6) or equivalent qualification / experience
* IRCA Certified Lead Auditor
* Chartered Member of IOSH / Member of CQI
