The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while optimising reporting processes and providing expert guidance on regulatory matters. You would work closely with various stakeholders, including senior management, Actuarial and Risk teams, to ensure transparency, accuracy, and timeliness in reporting activities.
What you’ll be doing:

* Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure all regulatory reports (e.g. SFCR, QRTs) meet the regulatory requirements of EIOPA, PRA, and other relevant authorities, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
* Regulatory Interpretation and Guidance: Provide expert advice on regulatory reporting standards, particularly regarding Solvency II and evolving regulatory changes. Act as the primary point of contact for internal queries related to regulatory reporting.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Reporting Managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Finance, Risk, Actuarial, and IT teams to gather the necessary data and ensure alignment across reporting activities.
* Continuously review and enhance reporting processes, controls, and systems to ensure efficient and accurate data collection, analysis, and reporting. Implement best practices and process automation where possible.
* Coordinate internal and external audit reviews related to regulatory reporting, addressing audit findings, and implementing corrective measures as needed.
* Identify potential reporting risks and establish appropriate controls to mitigate those risks. Ensure compliance with internal governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
* Experience in regulatory reporting within the insurance or financial services sector, with a focus on regulatory reports such as SFCR, QRTs, RSR, and other Solvency II reports.
* Proven track record of managing projects and teams, demonstrating strong leadership and organisational skills. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency in regulatory reporting software and advanced Excel skills.
* Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
