Hybrid working 2 days a week in office (city of London)
I am working with a specialist IT MSP who services finance clients and they are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to come in to manage and participate in complex projects, contributing to a team that supports, manages, and maintains the core infrastructure which delivers all the elements of a high-quality service to both internal and external partners in a timely and accurate manner.
Key responsibilities:
1. Experience of planning and implementation of cloud-based platforms including Microsoft Azure and Office365, and the ability to evidence automating processes and procedures to reduce manual effort.
2. Broad and strong technical background with the Microsoft technology stack including; Office 365, EMS, SharePoint, Active Directory and Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
3. Experience of migrating from on-premise infrastructure to Office 365 and Azure.
4. Any experience with administering a Local Area Network (LAN Switches, Access Points etc) would be advantageous.
Day to day:
1. Manage and participate in complex migration projects: Be the lead point of contact for migration projects. These will include (but not limited to) migrations from on-prem into Azure, Exchange into 365, traditional SQL to Azure DB, desktops into AVD. You will be responsible for planning, managing, and communicating all aspects of the migrations, managing the engineer's times accordingly.
2. Leading the planning and implementation of projects: You will be responsible for booking meetings with all required parties to ensure that projects are fully planned out ready for initiation and managing all ongoing communications and updates to the plans.
3. Defining a project's scope and goals: Working with the Head of Project Services and the Sales team to agree all deliverables for each project. Agreeing what is in the primary scope and adding to the project plan. Collaborating closely with the client and the sales team for any out-of-scope items to be added and costed as appropriate.
