Manager – Accountancy Practice
Location: Horsham (hybrid and flexible working arrangements)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Work Arrangement: Office-based for the first 1-3 months, then hybrid (office/home)
About the Role:
ProTalent is excited to be recruiting for a progressive accountancy practice looking for a talented Client Manager to join their expanding team. This role offers a clear career trajectory, transitioning from accounts preparation to a leadership, review and advisory-focused position.
In the initial 1-3 months, the role will primarily be office-based, with time spent in the office and with the teamto foster relationships and establish working practices. Thereafter, a flexible hybrid working model is available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing accounts and offering advisory services to clients.
* Leading client meetings and acting as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
* Assisting in business development, meeting potential new clients, and building strong professional relationships.
* Collaborating with senior managers and partners to manage client portfolios.
* Overseeing the workflow of junior staff, ensuring the quality and timeliness of deliverables.
* Progressing towards independently managing a portfolio with support, moving into full autonomy.
What We’re Looking For:
* ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with solid experience in an accountancy practice.
* Strong background in accounts preparation and a desire to transition into client advisory and managerial roles.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
* A proactive, solutions-driven mindset.
