We are recruiting for an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist Vascular Surgery who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The new central specialist vascular surgery ‘hub’ at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage will ensure round-the-clock access to the early diagnostics, decision-making expertise and emergency procedures necessary for the successful treatment of vascular conditions and will serve patients across the whole ICB.
We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and forward-thinking clinical pharmacist to work with the Vascular Surgery Directorate and clinical pharmacy team. You will be responsible for providing leadership and delivery of a high-quality, proactive and patient-focused clinical pharmacy service to the directorate of Vascular Surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate as lead pharmacist for the vascular surgical specialty ensuring all aspects of pharmacy services are delivered, developed, and supported.
2. Provide a safe and effective clinical pharmacy service to the vascular ward(s), vascular theatre, and vascular patients, covering all aspects of medicines management.
3. Provide non-medical prescribing services to the vascular surgery ward(s).
4. Undertake directorate activities for the vascular specialty – completing audits, providing financial reports, medicines information, and other information as required.
5. Provide clinical training and assessment of junior clinical pharmacists and foundation trainee pharmacists whilst on rotation through surgery.
6. Provide education and training for doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
7. Undertake risk management and ensure compliance with medicines legislation.
8. Carry out general dispensing and associated clinical and pharmaceutical duties and assist with the provision of the pharmaceutical service to the East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
