About The Role
We are seeking to appoint to a Senior Admissions Assistant post in the Postgraduate Admissions Service at the University of Warwick.
Senior Admissions Assistants are responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient processing of applications to study at the University. You will review and make decisions on a high volume of wide-ranging applications in line with agreed criteria, check for consistency of decisions made by academic departments and construct offer conditions for successful applicants. Your work will be compliant with external regulations and will help to ensure that Warwick’s students are able to succeed on their courses.
You will also support with admissions enquiries, communicating with a diverse range of stakeholders including applicants, their supporters, teachers, agents, and internal departments.
About You
Strong time management skills are essential for this role to effectively manage a workload, prioritise tasks, and ensure the successful achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) within designated timeline. Exceptional attention to detail and strong processing skills are critical in this role to ensure accuracy and consistency in task performance.
The successful candidate will have experience of providing excellent customer service, and an aptitude for information technology. You will be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and be able to quickly understand and apply new concepts. Previous work or study in a university environment would be an advantage, though full training will be provided to suitable applicants who do not have a background in Admissions.
About The Department
The Admissions team is responsible for providing an efficient and responsive admissions service to applicants for programmes of study at all levels, and to internal Departments. The Admissions service comprises of two sub-teams, for Undergraduate and Postgraduate admissions. Members of the admissions team are managed by a Deputy Admissions Co-ordinator and are ultimately responsible to the Admissions Coordinator and Admissions Service Manager. The team work closely with academic colleagues on all issues related to admissions. Team-members also contribute to University-wide events such as open days, enrolment and graduation ceremonies.
Initially, this role will be office-based for training purposes. Upon completion of training, the position will transition to a hybrid working model, with typically two days required in the office on campus outside of peak times. In addition, the University offers great Rewards and Benefits.
