Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
Your typical day could involve servicing a boiler or carrying out boiler repairs for our customers. Later, you could find yourself troubleshooting a heating system fault for a vulnerable resident, ensuring they have access to safe and reliable heating before the day ends.
As a Gas Engineer, you’ll be delivering outstanding customer service while ensuring residents’ homes are safe, warm, and compliant with current regulations. No two days will be the same as you tackle a range of tasks from servicing and repairs to engaging with customers about their heating needs. You’ll play a key role in creating comfortable living spaces, all while ensuring the highest safety standards.
You’re a practical problem solver with a passion for quality and a commitment to customer care. You’ll collaborate with various teams and build strong relationships with residents, stakeholders, and colleagues. You’ll need to spend time in customers’ homes conducting your work, and you’ll also be expected to manage your administrative tasks efficiently from either the office or remotely when needed.
Your responsibilities will include all aspects of gas breakdown and servicing, including fault-finding, safety inspections, and compliance documentation. If you’re driven by high standards and enjoy working directly with people to make a tangible difference in their lives, we’d love to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you’re:
1. Committed to customer service, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards with respect for residents’ homes and neighbours.
2. Skilled in time management, able to manage a diverse workload and meet deadlines effectively.
3. Technically proficient, with experience in gas repairs, servicing, and installation on a variety of boiler systems.
4. Solution-focused, calmly tackling issues and resolving problems to ensure customer satisfaction.
5. Safety-conscious, with a strong knowledge of gas safety regulations and a commitment to health and safety compliance.
This role is subject to a basic DBS check, and you’ll need the relevant Gas Safe certifications and awareness of health and safety practices.
