Level 3 Nursery Nurse/Practitioner
Location: Quackers Chieveley RG20 8TE
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday to Friday 4 DAYS PER WEEK, as per staff rota. Hours negotiable

Pay: £14.00 per hour (Salary £27,664 per year)
Job Overview:
KEY RESPONSIBILITES -
Deliver high-quality care and learning opportunities for children, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Plan, prepare, and implement age-appropriate activities and experiences that promote children's development.
Support children’s individual needs, ensuring inclusion and diversity in the setting.
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress and achievements.
Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals to support children’s development.
2. Safeguarding and Welfare
Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of all children at all times.
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any concerns to the designated safeguarding lead.
Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment, conducting daily risk assessments and adhering to health and safety protocols.
3. Professional Development
Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Keep up to date with current childcare practices, policies, and legislation.
Reflect on and improve own practice, seeking opportunities for continuous professional development.
4. Team Collaboration
Work effectively as part of the nursery team to ensure a smooth and professional operation.
Share responsibility for opening, closing, and maintaining the nursery environment.
Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent.
Paediatric First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
Experience -
Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, specifically with babies.
Experience leading a team or room within a nursery setting is highly desirable.
Skills:
In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and its application to babies' early development.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and support a small team.
Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults.
Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to childcare.
