We hope you are considering joining Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). We are striving to be different and working hard to become a community powered NHS organisation; to be able to significantly transform patient outcomes and ceaselessly tackle health inequalities. This is an exciting time and a real chance for you to help shape what we do and be part of our ambitions.
We recently launched our ambitious five-year strategy. You would join a team that is shaping up to support that ambitious and radical five-year strategy. That strategy will put the communities that we serve at the very heart of our Trust.
We have 5 Clinical Care Groups, each with a Care Group Director and Senior Leadership Quad (SLT). We are seeking to recruit a 12-month fixed term (maternity cover) for our Rotherham Care Group Director.
You will have day-to-day responsibility for everything within the Care Group, developing the Directorate leadership and leading the Senior Leadership Team. This role is part of the wider Clinical Leadership Executive which influences the wider Trust decision making. You will be a good partner; work well with others; a community and patient advocate and seek to collectively make a difference. We are looking for a colleague who is strongly focused on improving care, expects and strives for excellent performance and has a track record of delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the Care Group Delivery against the objectives and promises of the 2023-2028 Trust Strategy, and its associated plans.
2. Accountable for developing and delivering strategy, promoting innovation and supporting operational excellence.
3. Responsible for ensuring progress against deliverables across all directorates within the Care Group, taking account of complex operational agendas, strategic objectives and robust business planning.
4. Provide expert strategic and policy advice and guidance across the Care Group.
5. Lead an effective multi-professional leadership team to best support colleagues working within the Care Group.
6. Ensure that service delivery within the Care Group is typically consistent across the organisation, supporting variation only where it is warranted.
7. Foster a culture across all directorates that promotes openness and inclusion where colleagues feel confident to raise issues and understand how to escalate concerns.
Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) employs around 3700 talented colleagues who are very much appreciated, valued, and respected.
We have a wide portfolio which includes mental health, physical health, learning disability and drug and alcohol services.
We are passionate about enhancing the quality of our service and we work hard to attract and select the right colleagues for our organisation. Our goal is to employ those who share our passion for providing first-class care while remaining committed to our vision and values.
