Are you an experienced Teacher with confidence in working with students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Teaching Personnel works with SEN and SEMH centered schools in the Southampton area, who regularly have requirements for Teachers to join their supportive and inclusive staff teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide high-quality, bespoke teaching lessons whilst making use of therapeutic approaches to support students with SEMH needs.
2. Plan and deliver lessons that enhance students' social, emotional, and academic growth.
3. Establish a secure, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
4. Work in collaboration with families, colleagues, and other professionals.
5. Effectively manage behaviour and encourage positive learning.
6. Track, assess, and document student progress to guide teaching and set goals.
7. Include outdoor and diverse learning experiences to fully engage students.
8. Ensure the welfare of students and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times.
9. Be willing to engage in professional development and upskilling.
10. Attend after school engagements such as parents' evenings.
11. Adapt flexibly to meet the varying needs of students and the school's requirements.
About You:
1. You have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
2. Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and/or Social Emotional and Mental Health needs.
3. Strong leadership and management skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
You must have the right to work in the UK and have an Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.
