Role Overview
In this unique role, you will be responsible for 80% project management and 20% human resources duties. This hybrid position offers the best of both worlds – driving key projects forward while supporting our team’s growth and development. We need a special person who is passionate about helping people and also capable of managing complex projects with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management (80%): Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of various truck repair and maintenance projects, ensuring the highest quality of service.
2. Work closely with the technical team to ensure projects are on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
3. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop tailored repair and maintenance solutions.
4. Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and maintain smooth communication between all stakeholders.
5. Continuously improve project management processes to maximize efficiency and client satisfaction.
1. Human Resources (20%): Assist with recruitment efforts, sourcing and attracting skilled technicians and support staff.
2. Help cultivate a positive, safe, and supportive work culture in the shop.
3. Assist with onboarding, training, and ensuring employees are equipped with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.
4. Support employee performance management, growth, and development.
5. Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry best practices.
What We’re Looking For
1. A reliable, proactive individual with experience in project management, preferably in a technical or service-based environment such as heavy-duty trucks, automotive, or machinery maintenance.
2. Solid knowledge of human resources practices, with a passion for fostering a positive workplace.
3. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
4. Excellent communication skills, capable of working with a variety of internal teams and clients.
5. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Asana) and HR software.
6. A self-starter with a desire to continuously improve processes and help the company grow.
