Are you a highly motivated engineer with a passion for structural simulation and a solid technical engineering background? Then we want to hear from you!
You will work closely with an established engineering team, focusing on linear and non-linear fatigue, and structural simulations for powertrains and vehicles in the automotive industry.
This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in electrification and powertrain performance, contributing to both internal and customer projects.
Your responsibilities as a Structural Analysis Engineer:
1. Support system analysis projects across internal and customer opportunities, covering a range of battery and powertrain concepts.
2. Perform data processing and analysis, with regular reporting to internal and customer teams and management.
3. Contribute to the design and development of powertrain components by conducting structural simulations, impact analysis, and optimisation studies to enhance product performance.
4. Utilise FEA software to perform complex finite element analysis for automotive components.
5. Conduct linear and non-linear, modal, and transient simulations at the powertrain and subsystem levels.
6. Present analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders, supporting decision-making and project advancement.
Your current experience which will help you as a Structural Analysis Engineer:
1. Degree in a relevant engineering field.
2. Experience in structural CAE simulations for electric powertrains and batteries, with a proven track record of model correlation and validation against test data.
3. Proficiency in Abaqus and expertise in the engineering analysis of mechanical structures and systems.
4. Solid understanding of fatigue, non-linear, and structural simulation principles.
5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide clear technical recommendations across multifunctional disciplines.
6. Self-starter with the ability to work with high-level instructions and minimal supervision.
What you can expect as a Structural Analysis Engineer:
1. Competitive salary up to £50k, dependent on experience.
