About the Role We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Secretary to provide high-quality administrative and matter management support to our Employment and Immigration legal teams. This role involves collaborating closely with lawyers and business teams to ensure efficient client service and smooth operational processes. Key Responsibilities Create, update, and manage client and matter records using the Practice Management System. Draft and send engagement letters, manage financial transactions, and oversee billing processes. Maintain accurate records and coordinate fortnightly matter management meetings. Create, format, and manage internal, client-facing, and business development documents. Transcribe dictation and prepare document bundles for fee earners. Ensure efficient electronic and paper filing, including archiving. Manage diaries, inboxes, travel arrangements, and expense processing. Conduct research and support ongoing proceedings with timely filings and tribunal coordination. Share weekly capacity schedules and assist colleagues during absences or peak workloads. Stay updated on policies, processes, and relevant technologies. About You Previous secretarial experience in employment and/or immigration law within a UK law firm. Typing speed of 60 WPM preferred. Strong IT skills, particularly in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent organizational, literacy, and numeracy skills. Friendly, personable, and team-oriented, with a passion for client service. Proactive and adaptable, with strong communication and commercial awareness.
