Job summary Full time - 37.5 hours per week. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SARS Clerical Assistant to join the Medical Records Team. You will be expected to provide and maintain an accurate and timely Subject Access Request service/provision of medical records to patients, solicitors, GPs, hospitals and other agencies. Interviews to take place - 5th March 2025 Main duties of the job You will be expected to use a PC/VDU to - Check, correct and update patient information on EPR Record requests for patient information from patients, solicitors, GPs and other agencies. Use of Casenote Management module to record case note movements around the Trust. Provides and receives patient information/data to/from patients, clients, staff, GPs and other hospitals. Acquire appropriate clinical consent for release of medical records. Provision of appropriate reproduction service to assist in the release of copy medical records in line with Data Protection Act 2018 and other legislation and procedures. Use of internal microfilming/archiving service Provide a dedicated point of contact for all enquiries relating to Subject Access Requests both face to face and telephone Provide a data quality service in regard to checking and correction of patient data and redirecting misdirect GP mail. Investigates, locates, prepares, copies casenotes for range of people i.e. Trust staff, external organisations, GPs/other hospitals, child protection Active participation in the event of a Major incident.
