Quality Manager
Reports to: Managing Director

Location: Derby, UK - Onsite
Our Client is a global leader in innovative energy and aerospace turbomachinery, specializing in the development of next gas turbines. They are looking for a Quality Manager for a permanent position based in Derby.
Role
As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Quality Management System, which is shared with our offices in Florida and Wildau (near Berlin), Germany. The Quality Assurance aspect of the role spans across the business from engineering to manufacturing.
The QA responsibilities will include internal audit reviews of engineering processes and deliverables, as well as the receipt and inspection of incoming hardware to ensure parts and their associated paperwork are correct. You will also raise non-conformance reports as necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (QMS).
2. Conduct regular audits of internal processes, procedures, and documentation to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
3. Develop and implement Corrective Preventive Action Reports (CPARs) to address non-conformities and improve quality processes.
4. Prepare for external audits and interface with auditors.
5. Liaise with the German office on quality matters to jointly improve the QMS.
6. Receive hardware and create Product Data-packs to ensure associated paperwork is complete and accurate.
7. Raise non-conformance reports for hardware and take ownership of the sign-off from relevant stakeholders.
8. Ensure assembly equipment is calibrated and fit for use.
9. Manage the approved supplier list, ensuring NDAs and ISO certifications are up to date.
10. Manage the COSHH database to ensure all chemicals are fit for use.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality management in the Aerospace industry.
* 5+ years of experience in quality engineering with a background in process improvement methodologies and auditing techniques.
* Understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.) and regulatory requirements.
* Experience conducting internal and external audits and managing audit programs.
* Ability to understand the associated paperwork with delivered hardware (material CoC, inspection reports, NDT reports, etc.).
