The EMEA Music Publishing Partnerships and Strategy Lead role is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of music publishing and technology, overseeing partner management and engagement with music publishers, collection societies, and hubs based in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA). This role will help shape our strategy both in EMEA and beyond, with a particular focus on rights management and data opportunities that are central to our partnerships.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee publishing partnerships across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
* Maximise effective communication, education, and data exchange with partners and industry in EMEA.
* Drive strategic analysis and cross-functional decision making (with Business Development, Operations, Legal, and Product teams) on publishing specific issues and opportunities, including rights management and data exchange policies and investment internationally (EMEA plus Asia Pacific and Latin America).
* Be a source of insights about the music publishing ecosystem and partners.
* Support the creation and execution of marketing programmes that align with company goals and support music publisher and songwriter priorities.
* Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 8+ years of relevant experience.
* Extensive experience in music publishing / collective management organisation partner management and/or engagement.
* Digital music experience, including understanding of digital business models, music publishing rights, and music rights data.
* Demonstrated experience developing effective working relationships with a broad set of stakeholders.
* Experience leading analysis and structured problem solving to drive strategy and business recommendations.
* Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working closely with music publishing operational/royalties teams.
* Familiarity with digital music licensing agreements.
