At EKHUFT, we are pleased to offer the position of Specialty Doctor in Paediatrics to join a dynamic Child Health Team. The appointee will participate in an EWTD compliant full shift rota of 13 Middle Grades to cover 24 hours, 7 days a week General Paediatrics and Neonatal acute and emergency care for children and young people aged 0 - 16 (18) in specially designated and staffed hospital environments at Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate (QEQM).
Main Duties of the Job
Middle grades may need to cover equivalent duties across our Trust (Kent and Canterbury Hospital and William Harvey Hospital, Ashford). Our rota supplies two Middle Grades a day from 8:30 AM to 9 PM, with two middle grades every night (24/7). Additionally, Monday to Friday, one middle grade is dedicated to Neonates from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, and one middle grade is dedicated to running an outpatient clinic with a Consultant from 9:00 AM to 5 PM.
We will work with you to shape the ideal job plan upon successful appointment, reviewing it with you after three months and then annually.
Middle Grades will receive 0.5 PA of CPD a week in a 12 PA full-time contract, and we will provide essential resources to support you in your duties, including administrative support.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
* MBBS or equivalent
* F2 competencies acquired in 2 years of clinical practice before entering Paediatric training
* 3 years clinical practice in acute inpatient Paediatrics, including 6 months of acute Neonatology
* Membership of RCPCH or equivalent
* Experience of working in NHS
* Experience in NICU
* Experience in Paediatric ED
* Experience in PICU
Skills and Experience
* APLS/EPALS
* NLS
* Experience in Postgraduate or/and undergraduate education
