Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and be proficient in various engineering tools and methodologies. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet both functional and safety standards.
Responsibilities
1. Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD software.
2. Conduct system design analysis to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
3. Apply GD&T principles to create precise engineering drawings.
4. Utilise logic controllers for automation and control of mechanical systems.
5. Perform root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues.
6. Use Simulink and MATLAB for modelling, simulation, and analysis of systems.
7. Develop test plans and execute experiments using LabView for data acquisition.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software components.
9. Document design processes, test results, and project updates in a clear and organised manner.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in system design.
3. Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
4. Familiarity with GD&T principles is highly desirable.
5. Experience with logic controllers is an advantage.
6. Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques is beneficial.
7. Proficiency in Simulink, MATLAB, and LabView is preferred.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
9. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
