Job Summary:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide first level technical support to employees for company hardware, software, and services. This includes handling help tickets, software setup, imaging, and deployment of new laptops and desktops. Time not spent on support tickets will be dedicated to implementing small and medium-sized IT projects to improve our infrastructure and introduce new services. The role involves collaboration with the IT Service Desk Manager to modernize our infrastructure, improve workflows, and update IT policies. Ideal candidates will be eager to learn and expand their skill set across a wide range of technologies.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide first-level technical support for all IT-related issues for both local and remote employees.
2. Support desktop and core company services for employees in Belfast and remote locations.
3. Set up new workstations, including imaging and software deployment.
4. Complete IT projects as assigned.
5. Research and resolve technical issues independently.
6. Create end-user and internal documentation as needed.
Skills & Abilities:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong troubleshooting and investigative skills.
* Basic understanding of computer networking.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft client and server operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows Server 2016 and newer, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange or Office 365.
Education and Experience:
* BSc in Computer Information Systems or equivalent qualification.
* Open to recent graduates; industry experience through projects, internships, or placements is desirable.
* Experience with Atlassian products is a plus.
* Experience administering MFA solutions like Duo is advantageous.
* Scripting or automation experience, such as PowerShell, is a plus.
