As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining a highly skilled and performing engineering team delivering mission
critical solutions into live operational service for our suite of products across our entire customer portfolio. If you are looking for

Job activity & responsibilities:
· Oversee day to day team operation, motivation & performance
· Set team objectives and complete regular performance evaluation
· Identify and resolve team issues and discord
· Resource manage your team members and maintain a productive and healthy balanced workload
· Review and process team member weekly timesheets
· Review and process team member expenses in accordance with the expense policy
· Perform team absence management (e.g. Annual leave/sickness/Other)
· Ensure team member training is available and completed where required.
· Perform recruitment activities when required (e.g. Interviews/recruitment team communication etc)
· Build, Commission and upgrade activities for SSS Public Safety’s product solutions.
· Technical issue resolution of SSS Public Safety’s product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels.
· When required, create, review and update SSS Public Safety Engineering documentation, for example workplans, work
instructions and technical guides.
· Presentation of technical solutions to internal and external audiences
· Provide technical assurance across multiple projects via gated review meetings and further interactions with all
stakeholders such as technical sales / support and engineering.
· The role holder would need to accept a company car, within the allotted band for business travel.
· The role can involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a professional
and adaptable approach to communication, interaction & service.
· The role involves a high level of autonomous working which expects a high standard of personal time and task
management.
· Continually follow and adhere to SSS Public Safety outlined process & procedures.
· Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones.
· Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken.
· Promote a clean working environment. Adhere to all Health and Safety practices, rules and regulations.
Qualifications
Essential
Qualifications
:
* HND/HNC level education or relevant industry experience (minimum 2 years in a comparable role)
* Proven experience in IT-focused server & client-based environments
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows client & server architecture (Windows 10, up to Server 2019)
* Good understanding of Microsoft active directory / domain architecture
* Experience with virtualisation environments (Hyper-V or VMware)
* Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
* Strong written communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Experience with MS Applications (Excel, Word, Visio)
* Working knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL
* Customer service orientation
* Experience working to ITIL best practices

* Team leadership experience or relevant qualification
* Understanding of VOIP / SIP protocols
* Networking knowledge (CISCO switch and router configuration)
* Telephony experience (e.g., Cisco UCCE, Avaya, Mitel)
* Scripting knowledge (Batch, MySQL, PowerShell)
