Senior Quantity Surveyor Cheltenham Up to £65,000 Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to make your mark in a dynamic and collaborative environment? We’re seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality developments. About the Role: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be a cornerstone of our operations, working closely with key departments such as Land, Development, and Construction. Your expertise will shape the success of our projects by ensuring cost efficiency, meticulous contract management, and seamless collaboration with subcontractors and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Collaboration: Attend design, development, and subcontract package review meetings to provide cost-related insights. Contract Management: Review contract documentation, identify errors or cost implications, and manage the procurement process, including tender analysis and subcontractor engagement. Cost Control: Prepare and analyze construction costs, manage budgets, and oversee preliminary costs in collaboration with Site Managers. Procurement: Distribute design packages, prepare tender documents, and negotiate subcontractor agreements within budget parameters. Variations Management: Issue and negotiate variation orders, ensuring all costs and changes are effectively communicated and documented. Payment Oversight: Prepare stage payment schedules, oversee subcontractor payments, and finalize accounts. Reporting & Analysis: Produce monthly cost analyses, monitor potential over-expenditures, and provide financial insight for future projects. Post-Completion Support: Liaise with Customer Service to address post-completion defects and offer cost advice. Site Involvement: Attend site and project meetings, maintaining hands-on involvement throughout the lifecycle of each project. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably at a senior level. Strong understanding of construction processes, cost control, and contract management. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple responsibilities.
