We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to complement our existing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, creative and talented chef to develop their skills and engage in a wide range of cooking styles.
Salary: £30,500

Responsibilities:
The jobholder will be responsible for;
• Working as part of a team to assist with the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen in producing and presenting food to a high standard for fellows, students, conference and banqueting visitors and staff
• Ensure all goods received are properly checked and carefully stored
• Prepare and serve food to the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
• Share in the cleaning and good housekeeping practice in the kitchen, and maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas paying due regard to all Food Hygiene legislation
• Maintain health and safety standards of the kitchen, paying due regard to the College Health and Safety Policy in all areas of responsibility
• Ensure that all records are kept up to date in accordance with current Food Hygiene legislation / regulation and to comply with Food Allergen legislation and policy
• Have regard for the security of the College, reporting any suspicious activity or occurrence
• The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the College and the overall business objectives of the organisation
Appointment:
The College is looking to fill this post as soon as possible but will vary this for the right candidate. There will be an initial probationary period of 6 months. The appointment will be conditional on verification of the successful candidate’s right to work in the UK, and subject to the receipt of satisfactory references, one of which should be your current employer.
Remuneration and Terms:
The post is full time, 40 hours per week. The College offers 24 days annual leave per annum plus, in addition to Bank Holidays, 5 days compulsory leave at Christmas. Membership of the staff contributory pension scheme. Free meals when working and when the kitchen is open, interest free travel loans (post probation) also form part of the package
