The Manchester Move Team Leader will manage and coach a team who work with rehousing applicants and ensure that they deliver a high quality and customer focussed service. The role holder will ensure consistency and timeliness in the prioritisation of housing applications and deal with a high volume of Councillor/MP and customer enquiries. The post holder will be comfortable in working with applicants in a variety of settings. The post holder will become an expert in their field and be able to offer advice to other teams across the Council and Registered Provider Partners to ensure a consistency of approach of Manchester City Council’s housing allocations policy. They will contribute to a wide range of housing need agendas and be able to use creative thinking to resolve problems as they arise. The post holder will be working with colleagues to manage applicant expectations around access to social housing across housing services and homelessness services and will need to understand the wider housing environment to in which the services operates. Have good ICT skills including experience of Microsoft packages.
