This role will be based at River Meadows Care Home, in the heart of Kineton in Warwickshire. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 41 residents, living with a range of age-related health conditions, physical disabilities, and mental health conditions that require dignified support from our caring team. Additionally, many of our residents are living with Dementia and may require one-to-one assistance to maintain daily independence. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding, and respectful of our residents' individual abilities.

Responsibilities of our Part Time Laundry Assistant include:
1. Processing residents' personal clothing and household laundry to a high standard within the laundry service.
2. Ensuring that any items that require thermal disinfection are processed correctly and that infection control procedures are strictly adhered to.
3. Ensuring that all items of personal and household laundry are ironed/pressed to a high standard.
4. Ensuring that all items of personal clothing and household linen are in a good state of repair and to bring to the attention of the Hotel Services Manager/Care Home Manager when they are not.
5. Maintaining all areas of the laundry, equipment, and linen cupboards in a clean, tidy, and hygienic condition, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
6. Remaining professional and courteous at all times with residents, colleagues, external professionals, family members, and visitors to the home.
7. Following any health & safety procedures required of you and to ensure that any health and safety risks are reported to the Manager immediately.
8. Any other reasonable duties, as requested by your Manager, to meet the changing needs of the business.
What we’re looking for in our Part Time Laundry Assistant:
To be successful within this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Though prior experience as a Laundry Assistant is desirable, this is not essential as full training is provided. Typically, our residents live with age-related conditions, life-limiting health conditions, and physical disabilities that require dignified support from our care team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding, and respectful of our residents' individual abilities. Additionally, many of our residents live with dementia, and as such, an understanding of dementia would be beneficial.
