Our well-regarded Global Risk team in London is looking to bring in an experienced Middle Office Analyst.

In this role, you'll focus on the Complex Derivatives area, contributing to a wide range of activities aimed at enhancing and streamlining business processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering daily economic valuation, exposure analysis, and attribution reporting for complex products like Options, Storage, and Swings.
* Managing monthly IFRS-compliant reporting.
* Conducting Independent Price Verification (IPV) and overseeing market curve data management.
* Driving operational readiness for new products.
* Leading continuous improvements to Middle Office processes.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Support the team in the preparation of the daily Economic P&L, Financial Exposure Reporting and understanding any change in this;
* Conduct any ad-hoc/one-off portfolio analysis upon both the Front Office or any other Support Function requests with regards to both the economic and IFRS valuation impact of a new commercial transactions/hedging strategy.
* Monthly IFRS compliant revaluations, and full explanation and understanding of any valuation differences, closely work with the book owners to ensure all changes in Exposure and P&L attribution is aligned to expectations.
* Daily Economic Valuation/Exposures/Attribution reporting of all open exposure focusing on the Complex Derivatives (Options, Storage, Swings) business; Monthly IFRS compliant reporting.
* Independent Price Verification (IPV) and market curve data management.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
* Prior experience in a Middle Office or Risk role, environment dealing with policy and documentation generation, reporting, controls and systems development.
* Good understanding of the energy commodity market, with prior expertise in one or more asset in this list is preferred; Natural Gas, LNG, Oil or Power.
* Experience in commodity valuations, across both linear structures and non-linear products (Options, Storage, Swings, Transportation) is preferred.
* Excellent Excel skills; Competency in VBA/Python is desired.
